OCS UK & Ireland in Livingston is seeking a General Assistant to support our catering and facilities teams. You will work 10am-6pm Monday to Thursday, helping with food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, receiving deliveries, and serving customers according to the chefs' menu.

The role suits someone with good time management and organisational skills, who can stay on their feet for long periods. Basic catering or food handling certification is desirable but not essential, as training

Qualifications

• Commercial kitchen experience is highly valued but not essential
• A basic Catering and Hospitality certificate such as Food Handling or equivalent is desirable but not essential as training can be provided
• Excellent time management skills and can work under pressure
• Excellent organisational skills are also important
• Can stand for extended periods is often necessary due to the physical nature of the job

Responsabilités

• Help with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, trimming, and making sandwiches and salads
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area and equipment, including cleaning utensils, tableware, and catering stations
• Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries, organise food and supply storage areas
• Serve food items to customers according to the chefs' prepared menu; may act as host/waiter at events
