Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a dedicated General Assistant to join our catering team. This role involves food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and assisting with deliveries and stock organisation.

You will also serve customers and occasionally host events as needed, with a focus on accuracy and friendly service. The position requires good time-management and organisational abilities, ability to stand for extended periods, and a valid Right to Work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Excellent time management skills and can work under pressure.
• Excellent organisational skills are also important.
• Must have the Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Help with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, trimming, and making sandwiches and salads.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area and equipment, including utensils and catering stations.
• Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries, and organise food and supply storage areas.
• Serve food items to customers according to the menu prepared by Chefs; may host/waiter at events.
• Top up vending services.
