Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a friendly General Assistant to join the team for evening shifts (Thu–Sun, 19:30–23:30). You will assist with food preparation, keep the kitchen clean, help receive deliveries and serve customers according to the menu, with occasional hosting duties at events.

Experience in a commercial kitchen is valued but not essential; training can be provided. The role emphasises reliability, time management and strong customer service, with prospects to grow within facilities

Qualifications

• Customer service skills essential
• Good time-management and organisational abilities required
• Right to Work in the UK required
• Food hygiene training desirable but not essential as training can be provided

Responsibilities

• Help with food preparation tasks (peeling, chopping, trimming, sandwiches, salads)
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and equipment, wash utensils and station areas
• Receive and unpack deliveries, organise storage areas
• Serve food to customers per the chef's menu; assist as host/waiter at events
• Top up vending services
