Job summary

BaxterStorey is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our team in a part-time role, working 16 hours over four days from 3.00pm to 7.00pm. You will serve guests, support food service operations, and maintain high standards of cleanliness.

We value genuine hospitality, teamwork, and a friendly, proactive approach. Prior catering experience and knowledge of food safety are benefits; you’ll be supported with training and development opportunities within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Experience in food service preferred.
Knowledge of food safety practices desired.
Ability to stand for long periods and stay active on shift.

Responsibilities

Serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly, professional manner.
Provide excellent service by being attentive to guests’ needs throughout their visit.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in catering areas and comply with health and safety guidelines.
Work as part of a team to ensure smooth operations and inclusive environment.
Assist with a varied role including food prep, stocking, and customer service as needed.

Hours: 16 hours per week, working 4 days over 7 between the hours of 3.00pm to 7.00pm with a flexible approach to meet the Business needs,

Service - serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly and professional manner. Ensure that guests' needs and requests are efficiently and effectively addressed
Customer Service - provide excellent service by being attentive to guests' needs at every point on their customer journey. Answering questions in a friendly manner
Teamwork - collaborate with all other staff to ensure the smooth flow of operations and support and contribute to creating an inclusive and safe working environment
Adherence to Regulations - comply with health and safety regulations, as well as any specific food service or catering guidelines established on location
Cleanliness - maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all catering areas
