Job summary

BaxterStorey is seeking a Catering Assistant who delivers genuine hospitality in a fast‑paced environment, serving food and beverages with a friendly, professional approach.

You’ll work 16 hours per week across four days, with lots of chance to develop your skills and contribute ideas in a supportive, inclusive team. The role includes food preparation, serving, stocking vending machines and stock takes, with potential for more hours to cover holidays.

Qualifications

• Have a contagious passion for food and customer service

• Previous experience in a similar role, especially in the food service industry, is often a plus
• Some knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods

Responsibilities

• Service – serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly and professional manner. Ensure that guests’ needs and requests are efficiently and effectively addressed
• Customer Service - provide excellent service by being attentive to guests’ needs at every point on their customer journey. Answering questions in a friendly manner
• Teamwork - collaborate with all other staff to ensure the smooth flow of operations and support and contribute to creating an inclusive and safe working environment
• Adherence to Regulations - comply with health and safety regulations, as well as any specific food service or catering guidelines established on location
• Cleanliness - maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all catering areas

Salary: £12,71 per hour

Hours: 16 hours per week, working 4 days over 7 between the hours of 3.00pm to 7.00pm with a flexible approach to meet the Business needs
