Job summary

Cats Protection’s Newbury centre is seeking a Rehoming and Welfare Assistant to support daily care and welfare of cats in a busy centre environment. You will clean pens, feed and monitor medical and behavioural needs, assist with adoptions, and work with volunteers to provide outstanding customer service to visitors and potential adopters.

A full manual driving licence is essential as some driving of centre vans is required, and you will be part of a friendly team dedicated to improving life for

Qualifications

Full, manual driving licence is essential.
Excellent communicator with strong empathy.
Experience of animal welfare and caring for cats.

Responsibilities

Clean cat pens and litter trays across centre sections.
Feed and care for cats, including those needing medical or behavioural treatment.
Present a professional and friendly image to customers and visitors.
Assist with veterinary runs and driving Cats Protection vehicle off-site if required.
Work with volunteers to coach and guide them on cat care duties.
Support with rehoming information, viewings and adoptions.
