Job summary

Intact Insurance in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Casualty Injury Claims Handler to join our established Claims Expenses team on a hybrid basis. You will investigate and advance casualty claims to closure, aligned with our customer service proposition and business objectives.

You will support customers, brokers and third parties throughout the claims journey, using our processes and knowledge to resolve queries and convey decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Claims department handling injury and non-injury claims.
• Handling claims up to £100,000.
• Knowledge of EL and PL claims is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and progress casualty claims to closure to meet business objectives and service proposition.
• Support customers, brokers and third parties throughout the claims journey using agreed processes and case laws.

We are currently recruiting for a Casualty Injury Claims Handler to join our established and experienced Claims Expenses team here on a hybrid basis.

You'll make an impact by:

As Casualty Injury Claims Handler, you will be responsible for appropriately and promptly investigating and advancing casualty claims to closure, to achieve business objectives and meet the defined customer service proposition.

In addition, you will ensure that customers, brokers and third parties/claimants are supported throughout the claims journey by utilising agreed-upon claims processes, case laws, and defined strategies. You will enjoy utilising your technical knowledge to resolve queries, reach and convey decisions and impart knowledge to others.

Your skills and experience:

• Previous experience working within a Claims department that handles both injury and non-injury claims
• Handling claims up to a value of £100,000
• We handle a wide range of EL and PL claims from across our extensive commercial book of business so previous experience in a similar position would be beneficial but not necessary.
