Job summary

The Maidstone Leisure Trust is seeking an Events Assistant at Maidstone Leisure Centre. Working part-time casual shifts, you will help deliver events that bring people together, ensuring spaces and equipment are ready, and that each gathering is welcoming, safe and well organised.

You will join a customer-focused team, follow safety policies, assist with stewarding, cleaning, and creating a positive experience for visitors. Previous experience is not required as full training is provided.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; full training provided.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work flexible evenings, weekends and late nights.

Responsibilities

• Support the set-up and preparation of events, ensuring spaces and equipment are ready.
• Uphold Health and Safety policies and comply with safety legislation.
• Carry out cleaning duties to maintain high cleanliness.
• Follow Safety Management System procedures for safe operations.
• Assist with stewarding duties to support event delivery.
• Help create a welcoming environment for visitors at every event.

Salary: £15 per hour plus excellent benefits

Schedule: Part time casual contract working mainly evenings, weekends and late nights.

As an Events Assistant, you'll help create positive impact on communities by supporting the successful delivery of events that bring people together. Your work will help ensure every event is safe, well organised and welcoming, contributing to experiences that enrich local lives and help impact a better future

What you'll do as an Events Assistant

• Support the set-up and preparation of events, ensuring all equipment and spaces are ready in good time.


• Uphold company Health and Safety Policy and comply with all relevant safety legislation.


• Carry out cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout event areas.


• Follow processes outlined in the Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure consistent and safe operations.


• Assist with stewarding duties when required to support smooth event delivery.


• Help create a welcoming environment for visitors, ensuring a positive experience at every event.
