Job summary

Serco Leisure is recruiting on behalf of Leisure Solutions Community Trust (LSCT) to hire a Cleaner at Bletchley Leisure Centre. The role offers flexible part-time hours and a competitive hourly rate of £12.71, with DBS checks provided as part of safeguarding and ongoing development opportunities.

You will maintain a welcoming, clean environment for visitors and staff, following COSHH and safety procedures while supporting the wellbeing of the local community.

• Awareness of health and safety responsibilities in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleaning throughout the building.
• Follow health and safety procedures and COSHH requirements.
• Follow cleaning schedules and complete required checklists accurately.
• Report any cleaning issues, maintenance concerns, or areas requiring attention to the appropriate manager.
• Monitor cleaning stock levels and notify the line manager when replenishment is needed.
• Inspect, use, clean, and store cleaning equipment safely, while contributing to good housekeeping and sustainability practices.

Location: Bletchley Leisure Centre, Fenny Stratford, MK2 2HQ

Hourly Rate: £12.71 per hour plus excellent benefits

Schedule: Permanent, Part-time, 10 hours per week, Monday/Wednesday/Thursday 4.30pm to 6.30pm, Saturday 8.30am to 10.30am, Sunday 9.30am to 11.30am

As a Cleaner, you’ll help create a welcoming environment where people can enjoy leisure activities safely and comfortably. Your work will directly support the wellbeing of local communities by maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility, helping visitors and employees feel confident, cared for, and proud of the spaces they use.

What You’ll Do As a Cleaner

• Maintain a high standard of cleaning throughout the building at all times
• Carry out cleaning duties safely, following all health and safety procedures and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) requirements
• Follow cleaning schedules and complete all required checklists accurately
• Report any cleaning issues, maintenance concerns, or areas requiring attention to the appropriate manager
• Monitor cleaning stock levels and notify the line manager when replenishment is needed
• Inspect, use, clean, and store cleaning equipment safely, while contributing to good housekeeping and sustainability practices
