Job summary

You will manage a large ledger, chase overdue payments, resolve discrepancies and contribute to cash flow improvements. This is an office-based role with a proven track record in credit control and performance against KPIs.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control, debt collection or related role.
• Proven ability to chase overdue payments and manage ledgers.
• Strong communication skills for outbound calls and emails.
• Awareness of cash collection processes and KPI targets.
• Ability to build relationships and negotiate payment arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Manage a large customer ledger and maximise cash collection.
• Contact customers by phone and email to chase overdue payments.
• Build relationships to encourage prompt payment and resolve queries.
• Handle difficult conversations to secure payment commitments.
• Monitor accounts for overdue balances and escalating risks.
• Investigate payment discrepancies and resolve invoice issues.
• Work towards cash collection targets and SLAs.
• Maintain records of communications and collection activity.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve disputes.
• Support debt reduction initiatives and improve collection processes.
