Qualifikationen

• Previous experience in a Credit Controller role, Collections Advisor or Debt Recovery.
• Proven experience managing customer ledgers and proactively chasing payments.
• Confident making high volumes of outbound calls and handling difficult conversations.
• Strong understanding of credit control processes, cash collection and debt reduction.
• Results-driven with experience working towards KPIs and deadlines.
• Experience with computerised accounting software would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build rapport quickly.
• Strong IT skills, numeracy and attention to detail.
• Highly organised with ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.

Aufgaben

• Managing an extensive customer ledger, ensuring debts are collected efficiently within terms.
• Proactively contacting customers by telephone and email to chase overdue payments.
• Building strong relationships to encourage prompt payment and resolve queries.
• Handling challenging conversations to secure payment commitments.
• Monitoring accounts for overdue balances and escalating potential risks.
• Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies and account queries.
• Working towards cash collection targets, SLAs and KPIs.
• Maintaining records of customer communications and collection activity.
• Liaising with internal departments to resolve disputes and collect balances.
• Supporting the wider credit control team with debt reduction initiatives.
