Meridian Business Support is currently recruiting for a Bursary Administration Coordinator to work in a Cambridge based college.

About the role:

As part of the wider Student Support & Safeguarding Team, coordinate the administration of all college bursaries in line with college and funding policies and procedures.

Primary duties, tasks, and responsibilities include:
  1. Provide a range of CEIAG support to current and prospective students and apprentices, promoting smooth transitions to apprenticeships, further and higher learning, employment, or training.
  2. Undertake 1:1 careers guidance meetings with students and apprentices, produce appropriate post-interview summaries of guidance and action plans, ensure records are stored appropriately, and maintain client confidentiality.
  3. Support the design and delivery of an effective careers education programme, including developing an online Careers Hub and delivering group sessions on topics such as UCAS, CVs, job applications, interview techniques, employability skills, and labour market information. Ensure materials are professional and well-researched.
  4. Evaluate individual and group careers interventions, quality assure own and peer work, and meet or exceed quality standards.
  5. Assist with processing applications within the College UCAS Centre.
  6. Contribute to the organisation of careers events.
  7. Ensure relevant, up-to-date information is accessible to students both in-person and online.
  8. Research progression opportunities and develop resource materials.
  9. Use systems like EBS, ProMonitor, and others to record all enquiries and interactions.
  10. Provide advice and guidance at key college events, including open evenings, careers fairs, enrolment sessions, and PR events.
  11. Liaise with college staff to promote the careers service and ensure awareness of courses and educational provision. Keep updated with college developments.
  12. Maintain professional knowledge relevant to the role.
  13. Actively promote equality of opportunity and foster good relations within the college community.
  14. Adhere to college policies on equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Additional conditions:

This role is subject to a 6-month probationary period and successful Enhanced DBS clearance.
