Serco Group is recruiting a Progression Job Coach in Cardiff to support Restart scheme participants. You will oversee a caseload, deliver one-to-one coaching, and help with CVs, applications, and interview prep.

The role emphasizes building relationships and facilitating progression into employment. The role requires experience in coaching or mentoring, strong communication, and the ability to work in a target-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching, mentoring or supporting individuals into employment or education.
• Genuine passion for helping people succeed and making a positive difference.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in a target-driven environment.
• Excellent organisation and time management.
• Confidence using IT systems and maintaining records.
• Good understanding of the Welsh language.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of participants, guiding them through the Restart journey from engagement to sustained employment.
• Deliver one-to-one coaching, needs assessments and tailored action plans to address barriers to work.
• Provide practical employability support including CV writing, job applications, interview preparation and job search techniques.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with participants, motivating and supporting them to achieve their goals.
• Work with employers and internal teams to identify opportunities and match participants to suitable roles.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure full compliance with contract requirements and customer service standards.
