Job summary

Serco Group in West Bromwich is seeking a Progression Job Coach to work with Restart participants, helping them overcome barriers and move into sustainable employment. The role supports individuals to build confidence, develop practical skills and navigate their path to work.

You will tailor support, provide CV guidance, interview prep, and job-search assistance while engaging with employers and signingpost wraparound services. DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching and supporting people through change.
• Experience in Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) or employability sector.
• Strong IT skills across Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
• A Level 3 IAG or willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal performance targets, KPIs and Customer Service Standards.
• Assess Participants’ pre-employment needs and develop personalised action plans.
• Coach a caseload of Participants using strategies that build confidence and readiness for employment.
• Provide CV writing, application guidance and interview preparation support.
• Engage with employers to identify opportunities and match participants to roles.
• Offer flexible support and signposting to wraparound services and resources.
• Maintain accurate records of all participant activity.
• Work to the Delivery Assurance Framework to meet contractual standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high service levels.
