Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a Care and Training Practitioner in Cramlington to shape exceptional care and support new carers from interview through onboarding. You will coach, guide and uplift the team while maintaining branch quality, compliance and strong relationships with customers.

You'll train carers, conduct audits and spot checks, review care plans, and carry out risk assessments. A full UK driving licence and a people-first leadership approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant and a desire to take the next step in your career.
• A full, clean UK driving licence and access to a roadworthy, insured vehicle.
• Strong communication skills and a supportive, encouraging approach to working with others.
• A keen eye for detail and confidence in maintaining compliance and quality standards.
• A people-first mindset - calm, kind and ready to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor and support new carers so they feel confident, capable and ready to deliver extraordinary care.
• Assist the branch team with compliance, auditing and documentation.
• Complete spot checks and supervisions to maintain high standards across your care team.
• Visit customers to review care plans, ensuring they remain accurate, safe and person-centred.
• Carry out risk assessments with care, clarity and professionalism.
• Support on-call duties in line with the branch rota.
