Job summary

Helping Hands Watford is seeking a Care and Training Practitioner to shape exceptional care from interview to onboarding. You’ll coach and uplift the care team, support branch compliance and foster meaningful relationships with customers.

In this role you’ll mentor new carers, conduct audits, review care plans and lead by example to maintain high standards. A full UK driving licence and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant and a desire to take the next step in your career.
• A full, clean UK driving licence and access to a roadworthy, insured vehicle.
• Strong communication skills and a supportive, encouraging approach to working with others.
• A keen eye for detail and confidence in maintaining compliance and quality standards.
• A people-first mindset – calm, kind and ready to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor and support new carers so they feel confident, capable and ready to deliver extraordinary care.
• Assist the branch team with compliance, auditing and documentation.
• Complete spot checks and supervisions to maintain high standards across your care team.
• Visit customers to review care plans, ensuring they remain accurate, safe and person-centred.
• Carry out risk assessments with care, clarity and professionalism.
• Support on-call duties in line with the branch rota.
