Job summary

Orwell Housing Association in Hadleigh is seeking a Care Team Leader to lead a care team and deliver high-quality, person-centred support. The role focuses on safeguarding, care planning, and ensuring compliance with CQC standards while supporting staff development.

You will manage rotas, participate in recruitment, and contribute to a safe, compassionate service that enables people to live with independence and dignity.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and social care, home care, supported living or extra care services.
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding practices and person-centred care.
• Understanding of CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and encourage Care Assistants and Relief Care Assistants.
• Organise staff rotas and workforce planning to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, supervision and the ongoing development of staff.
• Maintain accurate care plans, risk assessments and quality assurance records.
• Champion safeguarding, wellbeing and person-centred approaches to care.
• Support compliance with CQC regulations and service standards.
• Take part in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
