Job summary

Orwell Housing Association is seeking a compassionate Care Team Leader to work at Sydney Brown Court, Hadleigh, coordinating a team to deliver safe, person-centred support. The role is 38 hours per week, permanent, and comes with a salary of £29,643.52 per annum, along with DBS checks and ongoing training.

You will lead care assistants, manage rotas, maintain care plans and risk assessments, and ensure CQC compliance while promoting safeguarding and independent living for residents.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Experience in health and social care, home care, supported living or extra care services.
• Experience coordinating staff, managing rotas or care provision.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices and person-centred care.
• Understanding of CQC standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and encourage Care Assistants and Relief Care Assistants.
• Organise staff rotas and workforce planning to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, supervision and staff development.
• Maintain accurate care plans, risk assessments and quality assurance records.
• Champion safeguarding and person-centred approaches to care.
• Support compliance with CQC regulations and service standards.
• Take part in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
