Job summary
Orwell Housing Association Ltd. seeks a Team Leader to support the Service Manager in guiding the care team to deliver safe, person-centred support. You will lead Care Assistants, plan rotas, support recruitment and maintain care plans and records.
You will champion safeguarding, meet CQC standards, and participate in the on-call rota. A Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent is required, with supervisory qualifications highly regarded.
Qualifications
- Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in health & social care, home care, supported living or extra care services.
- Experience coordinating staff, managing rotas or care provision.
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
- Eligible to work in the UK; enhanced DBS check required.
- Willingness to participate in the on-call rota.
Responsibilities
- Lead, guide and encourage Care Assistants and Relief Care Assistants.
- Organise staff rotas and workforce planning for high-quality service delivery.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, supervision and staff development.
- Maintain care plans, risk assessments and QA records.
- Champion safeguarding, wellbeing and person-centred care.
- Support compliance with CQC regulations and service standards.
- Take part in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
