People-focused, Ambitious, Collaborative and Effective (PACE) values, Orwell is looking for a Team Leader to support the Service Manager in leading our care team. Together, you will help provide safe, effective care that empowers people to live independently and with dignity. What you'll do
- Lead, guide and encourage Care Assistants and Relief Care Assistants.
- Organise staff rotas and workforce planning to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, supervision and the ongoing development of staff.
- Maintain accurate care plans, risk assessments and quality assurance records.
- Champion safeguarding, wellbeing and person-centred approaches to care.
- Support compliance with CQC regulations and service standards.
- Take part in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
Are you a compassionate and enthusiastic care professional committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support?, Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or an equivalent qualification. - Experience within health and social care, home care, supported living or extra care services.
- Experience of coordinating staff, managing rotas, schedules or care provision.
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding practices and person-centred care.
- Understanding of CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
- Confident in using digital systems and electronic care management records.
- Flexible and able to work across 5 days out of 7.
- Willingness to participate in the management on-call rota.
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle to complete assessments.

- Level 3 in Health and Social care or above
- Supervisory qualification or commitment to achieve within 18 - 24 months, Please note Orwell Housing Association does not provide visa sponsorship. You must be eligible to work in the UK to apply. You will be required to provide the relevant right to work documentation if successfully appointed to the role.
