Job summary

Orwell Housing Association is seeking Care Assistants for Rosebank Park Extra Care Scheme in Harwich. You will support residents to live independently, promoting dignity, choice and wellbeing, with emphasis on person-centred care and building trusting relationships.

Qualifications

  • Care Certificate is desirable.
  • QCF Level 2 in Health and Social care or equivalent, is desirable.
  • Full driving licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day support with personal care, mobility, nutrition and hydration, medication, and social activities.
  • Building positive, person-centred relationships and offering compassionate emotional support when needed.
  • Communicating effectively with customers, colleagues, and professionals, while maintaining accurate care records and documentation.
  • Supporting individuals with a variety of health needs, including dementia, mental health conditions, and end-of-life care.
  • Recognising and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of those in your care.
  • Working collaboratively with customers, families, and colleagues to develop and deliver person-centred care plans that reflect individual needs, goals, and preferences.

We're looking for caring, compassionate Care Assistants to join our team at Rosebank Park Extra Care Scheme in Harwich.

In this rewarding role, you'll support people to live independently in their own homes while promoting dignity, choice, and wellbeing. No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships while making a genuine impact on the lives of those you support.

What you'll be doing:
