Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting Care & Support Workers for specialist SEN and SEMH schools across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire. You will support students with learning, communication, behaviour and emotional wellbeing, enabling access to education and positive outcomes.

The role involves 1:1 and small group support, building trust, aiding emotional regulation, encouraging independence, and assisting with personal care when required.

Pay rate: £92.63 per day
Start Date: ASAP 2026
Contract Type: Temporary
Working Pattern: Full-time / Part-time

Are you currently working in care, support work, mental health services or residential care and looking for a new challenge?

Teaching Personnel are seeking compassionate and resilient individuals to support students within specialist SEN and SEMH schools across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.

You will work with children and young people who require additional support with their learning, communication, behaviour and emotional wellbeing, helping them access education and achieve positive outcomes.

Your responsibilities:

• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

• Building positive and trusting relationships

• Supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing

• Encouraging independence and engagement in learning

• Assisting with personal care where required

• Working closely with teachers, therapists and support staff
