Job summary

Teaching Personnel are seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join a specialist Secondary SEN School in Bury, supporting students aged 11-19 with a wide range of additional needs.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups to promote academic progress, social development, independence and wellbeing, with personal care and behaviour support as required. A resilient, proactive approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people or vulnerable individuals in education or care settings.
• Ability to support students with complex needs and adapt to different pathways.
• Willingness to provide personal care when required with dignity and respect.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with school staff.

Teaching Personnel are seeking a compassionate and resilient Support Worker to join a specialist Secondary SEN School in Bury, supporting students aged 11-19 with a wide range of additional needs.

This rewarding role involves working closely with young people across multiple pathways within the school, supporting their academic progress, social development, independence, and wellbeing. The position may involve providing personal care and supporting students who can display challenging behaviours, so confidence, patience, and a proactive approach are essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
