Job summary

Radis Community Care in Shrewsbury is seeking a Care & Support Worker for the community who must be a driver with their own transport. You will visit people in their own homes, assisting with daily living tasks, personal care, meals and light domestic duties with dignity and privacy.

The role offers full or part-time hours, mileage allowance for cars and bikes, and comprehensive training toward Care Certificate and other qualifications. You will join a supportive team at Radis.

• Right to live and work in the UK.
• Must be a driver with own transport.
• Experience in care/support is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide care/support to people living independently in their own homes.
• Assist with daily living tasks, personal care, hygiene, meals and domestic tasks.
• Ensure privacy and dignity at all times; support adults with learning or other needs.
• Work with Adult Learning Disability service users and enhanced calls.

About the role

You will need to be a driver with your own transport (car, motorcycle, moped etc) - the work is not suited to non-drivers

As a Support Worker - Community you will provide care/support to the people we support living independently in their own homes, that is flexible and responsive to their needs. This can include assisting them with daily living tasks, personal care and hygiene, light meal preparation and domestic tasks and medication - this will mean you’ll understand the importance of privacy and dignity – so important to everyone. You will also work with Adult Learning Disability service users – and receive enhanced pay for these calls.

And always with a kind smile and a supportive word, even when sometimes a day is challenging!
