Job summary

Radis Community Care is hiring a Care & Support Worker for community-based roles in Wem, Shropshire. You will be driving to clients’ homes to provide compassionate care and practical support, helping with daily living tasks while upholding dignity and privacy.

The role includes working with adults in their own homes, with enhanced pay for certain calls and full training. A driver with own transport is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
• Driver with own transport required (car, motorcycle, etc.).
• Experience in care/support work is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to people living in their own homes.
• Assist with daily living tasks and personal care.
• Support with light meal preparation and household tasks.
• Assist with medication as prescribed and maintain privacy and dignity.

About the role

You will need to be a driver with your own transport (car, motorcycle, moped etc) - the work is not suited to non-drivers

As a Support Worker - Community you will provide care/support to the people we support living independently in their own homes, that is flexible and responsive to their needs. This can include assisting them with daily living tasks, personal care and hygiene, light meal preparation and domestic tasks and medication - this will mean you’ll understand the importance of privacy and dignity – so important to everyone. You will also work with Adult Learning Disability service users – and receive enhanced pay for these calls.

And always with a kind smile and a supportive word, even when sometimes a day is challenging!
