Job summary

Radis Community Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker - Community to help people live independently in their own homes across England and Wales. You will provide compassionate care, assist with daily living tasks, personal care and light meals, while maintaining privacy and dignity and working with adults with learning disabilities.

Full time and part time hours are available. Training toward the Care Certificate and other courses is provided, with mileage allowances and pension provisions

Qualifications

• Must be a driver with own transport.
• Experience in care/support work.
• Willing to complete required training (Care Certificate, dementia, end of life, etc).

Responsibilities

• Provide care/support to people living independently in their own homes.
• Assist with daily living tasks, personal care & hygiene, light meals and domestic tasks.
• Assist with medications and respect privacy and dignity.
• Work with Adult Learning Disability service users with enhanced pay where applicable.

About the role

You will need to be a driver with your own transport (car, motorcycle, moped etc) - the work is not suited to non-drivers. As a Support Worker - Community you will provide care/support to the people we support living independently in their own homes, that is flexible and responsive to their needs. This can include assisting them with daily living tasks, personal care and hygiene, light meal preparation and domestic tasks and medication - this will mean you'll understand the importance of privacy and dignity - so important to everyone. You will also work with Adult Learning Disability service users - and receive enhanced pay for these calls. And always with a kind smile and a supportive word, even when sometimes a day is challenging!
