Job summary

Radis Community Care is seeking dedicated Support Workers to join the Woodland Court Extra Care scheme in Dewsbury. You will assist the elderly residents with personal care, mobility support, and daily activities, while promoting independence and dignity.

Shifts include early mornings and evenings, with every other weekend. The role offers full or part-time hours, paid training, and benefits designed to help you grow within our Radis family.

About the role

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme you will be supporting the elderly who are finding it difficult to cope due to physical frailty, enabling them to maintain their individuality and vital independence. You’ll help residents with restricted mobility to move to dining areas at meal times, communal areas for social activities and to the privacy of their bedrooms and bathrooms at their request.

You’ll help them with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing – this will mean you’ll understand the importance of privacy and dignity – so important to everyone. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by being a part of the recreational and social activities with residents, and as a group.

And always with a kind smile and a supportive word, even when sometimes a day is challenging!

Shifts:

06:30 to 14:30 and

16:00 to 22:30 (working every other weekend as part of your rota)

Pay Rates:

Week Days £13.00 per hour
