Job summary

Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative is seeking a Temp Female Assistant Service Manager in Llanmaes to support the Service Manager in delivering a safe, person-centred care service. The role involves leading a team, managing day-to-day operations, and executing shift patterns that may include sleep-ins on a 37-hour week.

You will build positive relationships with stakeholders, focus on independence for people supported, and model flexible, innovative practice aligned with our vision and values.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care setting supporting people with learning disabilities.
• Level 3 in Health and Social Care or actively working towards it.
• Strong caring nature to support others to live an enriched life.
• Working knowledge of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the service in the Service Manager’s absence, including day-to-day running and team meetings.
• Oversee rota duties, provide leadership, carry out appraisals and staff development.
• Ensure the service delivers a safe, person-centred, innovative and flexible support to help people achieve independence.
