Ravensworth Surgery in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, is seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist-Telephonist (Care Navigator) to join their team on a fixed-term basis. The role focuses on being the face and voice of the practice, welcoming patients and coordinating appointments while supporting a compassionate, patient-centered service.

The position is approximately 20 hours per week, with shifts Monday to Friday, starting between 7:45 am and 6:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
• Ability to manage a variety of tasks efficiently and maintain composure in a busy environment.
• Proficiency in using IT systems for patient records and scheduling.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Be the face and voice of Ravensworth Surgery in patient interactions.
• Manage patient records and scheduling using IT systems.
• Support reception duties for ~20 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Meet and assist patients, carers, colleagues and visitors.
• Adapt to shifts from 7:45am to 6:00pm (6:30pm later).
