Job summary

Ravensworth Surgery in South Shields is hiring a Medical Receptionist-Telephonist (Care Navigator) to be the friendly first contact for patients and visitors. The role is around 20 hours per week, with shifts from Monday to Friday between 7:45am and 6:00pm (extending to 6:30pm in a few months).

You should have previous medical reception experience and be proficient with EMIS Web; knowledge of SNOMED coding is desirable and training will be provided for an experienced candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous medical reception experience required or preferred.
• Proficiency with EMIS Web and SNOMED coding is desirable; training available.

Responsibilities

• Provide first contact for patients, carers and visitors.
• Manage telephone calls, appointments and reception tasks in a busy GP practice.
