Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Receptionist/Care Navigator for a busy GP Surgery in Southampton. You will be the first point of contact, handling calls and directing patients, clinicians and staff across multiple sites.

The role includes booking appointments, handling mail, and using Systm1 to update patient records. The post is a 6-month fixed-term contract with full-time (37.5 hours) or part-time (18 hours) options.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a confident, empathetic communication style.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
• Experience in reception/administration and coordinating with clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional reception service and answer all enquiries.
• Answer telephone lines, book appointments, and route messages.
• Input patient details accurately into the EPR (Systm1) and maintain records.
• Support multi-site reception duties across Southampton locations as required.
• File and retrieve records and support back-office workflows.
