Job summary

Wight Healthcare is recruiting a Receptionist/Care Navigator for a busy GP Surgery in Southampton. You will be the first point of contact for patients, professionals and clinicians, handling a variety of enquiries and coordinating appointments across sites.

This 6-month fixed term role offers full-time (37.5h) or part-time (18h) contracts, with early shifts starting at 7:45 and late shifts ending at 18:00. Some Saturday work on a rota is expected; you will work across four Southampton sites.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathy and discretion to handle sensitive information.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy reception/call-centre setting.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet patients, professionals and clinicians.
• Book appointments and coordinate scheduling across sites.
• Sort mail and support back-office workflows.
• Use Systm1 to access patient records and update information.
• Work across four Southampton sites as part of a reception team.
