Job summary

Bluebird Care North Hampshire & West Berkshire is seeking a dedicated Care Coordinator/Supervisor in Basingstoke. You’ll coordinate care staff, manage referrals, and ensure care plans are followed, with a supportive leadership team and ongoing training.

The role requires a permanent Right to Work in the UK, a full driving licence, and a passion for high-quality domiciliary care. Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm, with potential on-call duties.

Qualifications

  • Must be caring and compassionate toward people needing care.
  • Office-based, Monday to Friday 8:30am–5pm.
  • Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle.
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to communicate clearly.
  • Two years’ experience in domiciliary care; NVQ3 preferred.
  • Permanent UK Right to Work.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Lead Coordinator/Registered Manager to ensure appropriate staffing and coverage.
  • Assist in enrolment/recruitment of new employees.
  • Allocate and process new customer referrals for care and support.
  • Process changes to customers’ care needs promptly.
  • Ensure adequate cover to deliver care on time and per care plans.
  • Prepare reports for the Registered Manager.
  • Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota after training.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with the Lead Coordinator and/or Registered Manager to ensure the right number of care professionals, with the right skills mixes, are recruited to meet the needs of the business. Arrange cover for Care professional sickness, absenteeism or holidays.
  • Support in the enrolment/recruitment of new employees
  • Allocate and process new customer referrals for care and support promptly and effectively.
  • Process changes to customers’ required care and support needs.
  • Ensure there is sufficient cover to deliver care and support to all customers on time and in alignment with their personal care plans.
  • Carry out general office duties. Prepare reports as required by the Registered Manager.
  • Take part in the out-of-hours emergency on-call rota. This will only be required after the post holder has received full training and has been assessed as competent to provide appropriate guidance and advice in emergency situations.

Requirements
  • You must be caring and compassionate towards people in need of care and support those who require these services
  • Office-based Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm
  • A full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Provide excellent customer service with a smile, being supportive and calm, you’ll be highly organised and enjoy communicating with your colleagues and customers.
  • You must have at least 2 years of experience working in domiciliary care an NVQ3 in health and social care is preferred
  • Show initiative and complete agreed actions, working as part of our team to achieve business outcomes together
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a drive to continually learn and improve.
  • Must hold a permanent, unrestricted Right to Work in the UK
