Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a Care Coordinator in Gateshead to keep extraordinary care running smoothly. You’ll work with the Branch Care Manager to support carers, customers and the community, ensuring visits are well-planned and customer care is reliable.

You will allocate carers, complete timely supervisions, assist with recruiting, and review care plans to reflect each customer’s needs and wellbeing. This role offers career growth and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in the care sector, ideally in a supervisory role.
• A Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or working towards it).
• Knowledge of CQC/CIW regulatory standards and best practice.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Strong communication, decision-making and a people-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Support Branch Care Manager to deliver exceptional care across local area.
• Allocate carers to ensure consistent, high-quality support.
• Complete supervisions and observations on time to grow carers’ practice.
• Recruit and onboard new carers to strengthen the branch’s capacity.
• Review and update care plans to reflect each customer’s needs.
• Support branch growth and local engagement.
• Champion brilliant customer service in every interaction.
