Job summary

Bluebird Care Bradford on Avon is seeking a Care Coordinator to join our friendly office team. This vital role coordinates Care Assistants, manages rotas, and responds to changing needs to ensure safe, reliable in-home care.

You will work Monday to Friday, office hours, with an emphasis on balancing customer wellbeing and carers’ work-life balance, and you’ll receive full training and opportunities to progress within the respected Bluebird Care network.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule Care Assistants to ensure care is delivered safely, on time, and in line with customers’ care and support plans.
  • Allocate rotas in line with Care Assistants’ availability, skills, and experience.
  • Arrange cover for sickness, holidays, and emergency situations.
  • Accept and process new customer referrals promptly and efficiently.
  • Make and manage changes to customer care needs as required.
  • Strive to achieve efficient and optimised scheduling for both customers and carers.
  • Work closely with the senior managers to ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix.
  • Monitor and adjust rotas to maximise efficiency while supporting carers’ work-life balance.
  • Match Care Assistants to customers, considering skills, experience, availability, and preferences.
  • Distribute staff rotas at agreed intervals.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records.
  • Record and monitor mileage and travel distances.
  • Ensure confidentiality of customer and staff information.
  • Carry out general office duties and prepare reports as required.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and their representatives, adapting to different communication needs.
  • Collaborate with the wider team and external health and social care professionals.

Pay Rate: £28,080 per annum/ £13.50 per hour

About The Role

Due to business growth we are looking for an organised, calm, and caring Care Coordinator to join our friendly office team. This is a vital role in ensuring our customers receive safe, reliable, and high-quality care in their own homes.

You will be responsible for coordinating Care Assistants, managing rotas, and responding to changing needs—always keeping both our customers’ wellbeing and our Care Assistants’ work-life balance at the heart of what you do.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule Care Assistants to ensure care is delivered safely, on time, and in line with customers’ care and support plans

  • Communicate effectively with customers and their representatives, adapting to different communication needs
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Bluebird Care team and external health and social care professionals
  • Follow company policies and procedures at all times
