Job summary

Bluebird Care in Rainham, Kent is seeking an organised Care Coordinator to join our team and help us set the standard. You will plan and maintain care rotas, match Care Assistants to customers, and coordinate new care packages to ensure safe, person-centred care.

  • Previous experience in care coordination, homecare or similar scheduling role.
  • Excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and make effective decisions in a busy environment.
  • Confidence using electronic systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Calm and professional approach when managing unexpected changes.
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Knowledge of care regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and maintaining care rotas at least four weeks in advance.
  • Matching Care Assistants to customers based on needs, availability and location.
  • Ensuring sufficient travel time between visits.
  • Managing daily rota changes and arranging cover for sickness, holidays and emergencies.
  • Coordinating new care packages and implementing changes as needs develop.
  • Ensuring visit times meet customer expectations and service standards.
  • Communicating professionally with customers, families and Care Assistants.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic records and documenting important communications.
  • Responding to coordination concerns and supporting prompt resolution.
  • Working with the office team to maintain a safe, reliable, person-centred service.
  • Participating in the on-call rota.

Responsibilities

As a Care Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in the shared out-of-hours on-call rota, in addition to the usual working hours.
  • Salary of £26,436.80 to £29,500 per year, depending on experience.
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
  • Workplace pension scheme, including a 3% employer contribution on qualifying earnings.
  • Blue Light Card eligibility.
  • Full induction and ongoing expert training.

Requirements
