Job summary

A care recruitment agency is seeking Weekend Care Assistants for ongoing work in Heanor, Derbyshire. Successful candidates will assist residents with daily tasks, and follow health and safety procedures. A valid Enhanced DBS and relevant training are required, but training support is available. Pay is £12.35 per hour for shifts on weekends.

Qualifications

  • An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months.
  • Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving and Handling training.
  • A Referenceable work history.
  • At least 3 months experience within a similar setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily tasks including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition.
  • Follow health and safety procedures.
  • Report changes in residents’ conditions to senior staff.

Overview

Weekend Care Assistants – Immediate Start in Heanor, Derbyshire

We have immediate opportunities for experienced Care Assistants to join a welcoming care home in Heanor, Derbyshire, working weekend shifts. This beautifully maintained home supports up to 60 residents, many of whom are living with age-related conditions such as dementia and Alzheimer’s. Supporting both their mental and physical wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.

Responsibilities
  • As a Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping residents with daily tasks including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition. You’ll also assist with general housekeeping duties, follow health and safety procedures, and ensure accurate reporting of any changes in residents’ conditions or incidents to senior staff.
Qualifications
  • An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months
  • Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving and Handling training
  • A Referenceable work history
  • At least 3 months experience within a similar setting
Notes

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!

Hours & Pay

This role offers ongoing weekend work. The hours available to you will be: 06:45 to 14:30 (Early); 14:15 to 22:00 (Late). With regular hours available on Saturdays and Sundays! The rate of pay for this role is £12.35 per hour
