Roseberry Care is seeking a Care Assistant at The Evergreens Nursing Home in Forest Hall, Newcastle. Join a warm, patient-centred team providing personal care, social activities and meals to promote independence and quality of life.

You will assist residents with washing, dressing and mobility, support meals and activities, and report changes. NVQ2 in health and social care is preferred, with 1 year of care experience; visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 in Adult Health and Social Care is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year care experience; not essential.
• Excellent communication, listening and empathy skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Salary: £12.80 Per Hour

Hours: 33-44/Week – Day and Night shift available with alternate weekends

Your Role

As a Care Assistant you will support our residents in their day to day lives including providing personal care, social activities, and meals times to promote independence and maximise their quality of life.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Assist with washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care
• Help with mobility and transfers
• Offer companionship and a friendly presence
• Support mental and emotional well-being
• Observe and report changes in a client’s physical or emotional condition

What We’re Looking For

• Ideally have an NVQ2 in Adult Health and Social Care
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in Care although this is not essential
• Excellent communication, listening and empathy skills
• A genuine passion for elderly care and team development
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
