Job summary

Essex Cares is recruiting care assistants for home-based support across South Essex. You will help customers relearn personal care, mobility, and meal preparation, traveling between visits and working early or late shifts including every other weekend.

You will shadow a mentor and must have a full driving licence with your own car. Visa sponsorship cannot be provided, and a DBS check is required. Company benefits include training and progression opportunities.

Job description

Essex Cares' reablement team is recruiting care assistants to work with customers in their own homes, helping them regain skills such as personal care, mobility and meal preparation. The work is community-based, so the role involves travel between clients, with shifts on 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 11pm and contracts that include every other weekend. Training is provided, and a mentor shadows new starters until they feel confident. A full driving licence and your own car are required, and applicants needing visa sponsorship cannot apply directly.
