Job summary

Greensleeves Care in England seeks a dedicated Care Assistant to support residents in 24-hour residential, dementia and nursing care across our homes.

You will work day and night shifts, uphold residents’ rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice, and take part in free learning and development opportunities offered by Greensleeves Care.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the needs of residents
• Understanding of confidentiality importance
• QCF Diploma in Care Level 2 or equivalent (Desirable)
• Experience of providing care (Desirable)
• Experience of working with elders (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Give support and care to residents while maintaining rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice and assist in daily living.
• Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, bathe and use the toilet.
• Assist residents with mobility and use of aids and equipment.
• Promote Greensleeves Care workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.

As a Care Assistant (Days and Nights), you will:

• Give support and care to the residents whilst maintaining their rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice and assist in their daily living.
• Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, and bath and use the toilet.
• Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
• Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene e.g. incontinence.
• Promote and adhere to the Greensleeves Care -Workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.

• Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in care level 2 or the equivalent (Desirable)
