Job summary

Choices Homecare in the Bury region is seeking Care Assistants to support clients across the area. The role offers flexible full-time and part-time hours with a £13.44 per hour rate, plus mileage allowance and career progression opportunities.

Rotas are provided in advance on a 2-week rolling pattern, with full training available and Accross the Optimo Care Group network support. Care is delivered 7 days a week between 07:00 and 23:00, requiring a minimum of 16 hours per week and availability

Qualifications

• Care experience is welcome but not essential.
• Willing to work alternative weekends.
• Must have UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for certain routes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting.
• Support with medication administration and accurate documentation.
• Prepare meals and assist with eating and drinking as needed.
• Encourage independence and assist with daily living tasks.
• Build positive relationships with service users and their families.
• Support emotional wellbeing and monitor changes in needs.
• Keep accurate records and communicate clearly with colleagues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
• Respect confidentiality and professional boundaries.

What to expect in this role

• Care is delivered 7 days a week between 07:00 and 23:00
• We ask for a minimum of 16 hours per week
• Every Other Weekend Availability Is Required
• This role is paid for care delivery time, with mileage reimbursed between calls at 30p per mile
