Job summary

Choices Homecare is seeking Care Assistants to support clients across the Wakefield and Kirklees region. We offer £13.82 per hour, flexible full-time and part-time hours, mileage allowance, full training, and clear career progression within the Optimo Care Group.

You will work with a supportive team delivering person-centred care, with shifts between 07:00 and 23:00 and at least 16 hours per week. This role is delivered across community settings, requires Domiciliary care presence, and invites

Qualifications

• Care experience is welcome but not essential.
• Candidate must have permission to work in the UK.
• A UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for some routes.

Responsibilities

• Support people with personal care including washing, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist with medication administration and accurate documentation.
• Prepare meals and assist with eating and drinking when needed.
• Encourage independence and support daily living tasks.
• Build positive relationships with service users and their families.
• Support emotional wellbeing and identify changes in behaviour or needs.
• Keep accurate records and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
• Respect confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries at all times.

What To Expect In This Role

• Care is delivered 7 days a week between 07:00 and 23:00
• We ask for a minimum of 16 hours per week

Every Other Weekend Availability Is Required

This role is paid for care delivery time, with mileage reimbursed between calls at 30p per mile
