Job summary

Bluebird Care is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant for our Aylesbury service. You will support customers to live independently at home, delivering personalized care and companionship with a calm, respectful approach.

As part of a supportive team, you’ll follow care plans, assist with daily activities, and help maintain dignity and quality of life for clients. DBS checks and references are part of our recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care.
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to follow care plans.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not required, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meal preparation and nutrition.
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal.
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning.
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for.
