Job summary

Bluebird Care Elmbridge, Runnymede & Spelthorne is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our expert team and help us set the standard in home care.

You will support customers with daily living, work independently or with a supportive team, and deliver high-quality, person-centred care in clients' homes.

We offer full induction, ongoing expert training, flexible shifts, and a friendly, inclusive team with 24/7 support.

Qualifications

  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Ability to follow care plans.
  • Previous care experience is beneficial but not a necessity as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs.
  • Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming).
  • Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition.
  • Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal.
  • Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning.
  • Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for.
