Job summary

Bluebird Care Central Bedfordshire in Flitwick and surrounding areas is hiring a Care Assistant to join our Care Expert Team. You’ll support clients with daily living, follow care plans, and contribute to a high standard of in-home care.

We offer part-time hours in evenings and weekends, with pay ranging from £13.20 to £21.50 per hour, full training, DBS checks, and mileage allowance. A full UK driving licence and a compassionate, patient approach are essential.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• Ability to follow care plans
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not a necessity as full training will be provided

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for
• Part time hours evenings and weekends only
• Weekdays £13.20 per hour
• Bank Holidays £21.50 per hour
• Full comprehensive training and shadowing
• CRB/DBS check paid for
• Work smartphone provided if required
• Paid holiday
• Paid mileage - 30p per mile
