Job summary

Bluebird Care is seeking a caring and dedicated Care Assistant to join our expert team in St Helens. You will help customers stay comfortable at home and support them with daily living tasks, working either independently or with a supportive team.

We offer full induction, ongoing expert training, a phone allowance, and flexible shift patterns. You’ll be part of a friendly, 24/7 supported team delivering high-quality care across the community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs.
  • Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming).
  • Help with meal prep, preparation and nutrition.
  • Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal.
  • Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning.
  • Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for.
  • Uniform and PPE provided.
  • Regular support and ongoing career development.

  • Salary details: £13.00 - £13.20 per hour

Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs
  • Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)
  • Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition
  • Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal
  • Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning
  • Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for
  • £18,200 - £23,660 per annum, based on 35 hrs per week, DOE and in line with (NMW)
  • Full and Part time hours available
  • Full induction and ongoing expert training
  • Uniform and PPE provided
  • Regular support and ongoing career development
  • Friendly, inclusive team with 24/7 support
Requirements
  • A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
  • Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships

  • Previous care experience is beneficial but not a necessity as full training will be provided
