Job summary

Bluebird Care Medway is seeking a caring and dedicated Care Assistant to join our expert team and help us set the standard in home care. You’ll support customers with daily living in their own homes, working independently within a supportive team.

We offer full induction and ongoing expert training, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, and you’ll be part of a friendly team with 24/7 support and uniform and PPE provided.

Qualifications

  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • A kind and compassionate attitude with a calm approach to care.
  • Great communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
  • Ability to follow care plans and instructions.
  • Previous care experience is beneficial but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs.
  • Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing and grooming.
  • Supporting with meal preparation, nutrition and hydration.
  • Supporting customers with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal.
  • Carrying out light housework, including tidying, laundry and general cleaning.
  • Being a dependable, friendly and familiar face for the customers you support.
  • Full induction and ongoing expert training.
  • Uniform and PPE provided.
  • Regular support and ongoing career development.
  • Friendly and inclusive team with 24/7 support.
  • Blue Light Card / WPA.
