Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a Care and Training Practitioner in Stalybridge to lead the onboarding of new carers and maintain high quality, compliant care. You will coach and uplift the team while supporting branch operations and customer relationships.

The role combines field visits with team leadership, offering purposeful work within a nationwide care provider and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant or in a care setting is required.
• Full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
• Strong communication and people skills are needed to support carers and customers.
• People-first mindset with calm, kind leadership.

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor and support new carers so they feel confident and capable.
• Assist the branch with compliance, auditing and documentation.
• Complete spot checks and supervisions to maintain high standards.
• Visit customers to review care plans and ensure safety and person-centred care.
• Carry out risk assessments with care, clarity and professionalism.
• Support on-call duties in line with the branch rota.

As a Care and Training Practitioner with Helping Hands, you’ll play a vital role in shaping exceptional care, supporting new carers from their very first interview through to their full onboarding journey.
