Job summary

Helping Hands Homecare in Coventry is seeking a Care and Training Practitioner on a fixed-term 12-month contract. You will lead onboarding for new carers and guide the team to deliver high-quality care.

This role combines coaching, compliance and customer-focused visits within the East 1 department, with on-call support and a requirement for a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant or equivalent in a care setting.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle.
• Strong communication skills with a supportive, coaching approach.
• Keen eye for detail and commitment to compliance and quality.
• People-first mindset with leadership by example.

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor and support new carers for confident onboarding.
• Assist branch with compliance, auditing and documentation.
• Complete spot checks and supervisions to uphold standards.

As a Care and Training Practitioner with Helping Hands, you’ll play a vital role in shaping exceptional care, supporting new carers from their very first interview through to their full onboarding journey. You’ll coach, guide and uplift your team while helping the branch maintain quality, compliance and meaningful relationships with customers. It’s a role full of purpose, variety and real impact.

What you’ll do

• Train, mentor and support new carers so they feel confident, capable and ready to deliver extraordinary care.
• Assist the branch team with compliance, auditing and documentation.
• Complete spot checks and supervisions to maintain high standards across your care team.
