Job summary

Helping Hands Homecare in Bedford is seeking a Care and Training Practitioner on a permanent part-time basis. You will coach and uplift the care team, supporting onboarding and maintaining quality and compliance across the branch.

The role combines field visits with team leadership, contributing to meaningful relationships with customers and opportunities for growth within a nationwide care provider.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant and desire to advance in the career.
• Must hold a full, clean UK driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle.
• Strong communication and a people-first leadership approach.

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor and support new carers during onboarding.
• Assist branch with compliance, auditing and documentation.
• Complete spot checks and supervisions to maintain standards.
• Visit customers to review care plans for accuracy and safety.
• Carry out risk assessments with professionalism.
• Support on-call duties according to branch rota.

As a Care and Training Practitioner with Helping Hands, you’ll play a vital role in shaping exceptional care, supporting new carers from their very first interview through to their full onboarding journey. What you’ll do

• Support on-call duties in line with the branch rota.
